ANTI AGEING SKIN CARE

Top Anti-Aging Skin Care Tips

Although you can’t turn back the clock and stop your skin aging, you can help to reduce the effects with the right lifestyle and anti aging skin care.

THE THREE BEST INGREDIENTS TO LOOK FOR IN AN ANTI-AGING CREAM

These three ingredients are the key to maintaining fresh, glowing skin:

COENZYME Q10

1. COENZYME Q10

This ingredient is crucial for acquiring the necessary energy from nutrients that boost your skin’s metabolism.

As you age, the content of Q10 in your skin decreases. When added to an anti-aging cream, Q10 can be effectively absorbed into the skin again.

CREATINE

2. CREATINE

Creatine gives your skin the energy boost it needs to maintain its function and firmness.

Creatine stores and releases energy when and wherever it’s needed in your cells.

HYALURONIC ACID

3. HYALURONIC ACID

Above all, hyaluronic acid has excellent water-holding capacity.

NIVEA researchers have carefully prepared this important moisture ingredient so that it can penetrate deep into your skin when applied in a cream.
NIVEA’s range of anti aging creams helps your skin remain youthful by using these ingredients to visibly reduce wrinkles and prevent new ones from forming.

HOW OUR SKIN AGES

As we grow older, various processes which change the appearance, structure and behaviour of our skin take place. Major skin changes occur when we age including: reduced cell activity, slower regeneration of the epidermis and lower collagen production. The effects of UV radiation also increase. All of these changes can lead to skin losing its moisture and elasticity, which lead to the development of fine lines and wrinkles.

Timely prevention of skin ageing

The skin’s ageing process is unique to everyone and is affected by both internal and external factors. However, in general it may be said that from the age of 25-30 years you should be using an anti aging cream as part of your face care routine.

Facial exercises to combat wrinkles

In addition to having the right skin care routine and a healthy lifestyle, daily facial exercises help to combat wrinkles. By performing the correct exercises, you can stimulate blood flow to your skin, which helps counteract the formation of wrinkles and fine lines.

Here are two exercises you can do:

  • Firm cheeks: Puff out your cheeks and lay your fingers flat on them. Try to maintain the tension in your cheeks whilst are pressing against them with your fingers.
  • Smooth temples and forehead: Eliminate those tiresome forehead wrinkles by bending your head forward slightly and placing the tips of all your fingers (apart from the thumbs) on your hairline. At the same time, the heels of your hands should point towards the ground, turned slightly facing outward. Now rotate your fingertips on the spot for up to 30 seconds. Take a 60-second break and repeat the exercise. This exercise releases tension in the upper part of the head and forehead to act against wrinkles.

Tip: This exercise also helps to relieve headaches.

Always read the label. Follow the directions for use.
