FOUR ESSENTIAL TIPS FOR SUN PROTECTION CARE

We all know the Australian and New Zealand sun is harsh and spending time in the sun can damage our skin. Here are our 4 tips to help protect and care for your skin so you can enjoy days out in the sun.

1. Make sunscreen a daily routine

Make sure you apply sunscreen to your face as apart of your daily routine. If you are spending time outdoors remember to apply body sunscreen. Even when it’s overcast, UV radiation can still put major stress on your skin. Everyone’s skin reacts differently to the sun remember to apply enough for your skin.

Always read the label. Follow the directions of use. Sunscreens are only one part of sun protection. Avoid prolonged high-risk sun exposure. Reapply frequently.

2. Protect your skin

It’s important to not only apply sunscreen but also use other protective options such as wearing a wide brimmed hat, your favourite sunglasses, protective clothing and avoid being out in the sun in the middle of day.

3. Stay hydrated

Try to drink two to three litres of water a day in summer to keep your fluid levels up and to help your skin stay hydrated.

4. Keep your skin moisturised

A day out in the sun whether it’s swimming, sweating etc. can dry our your skin.
