8 Time Saving Beauty Tips

8 TIME SAVING BEAUTY TIPS

You’re a busy woman, but you still want to look your best. Don’t let your beauty routine go by the wayside because you’re pressed for time. A few simple, minor adjustments and tweaks here and there can get you out the door as quickly, and beautifully, as possible. Follow our 8 time saving beauty tips to slice minutes off your grooming time while maintaining great skin, healthy hair, and that all-important “I have it all together” look.

1. USE MULTI-PURPOSE PRODUCTS

Cut your primping time by using products that do double duty. Try tinted moisturiser such as NIVEA’s Q10 Plus CC Cream or NIVEA’s BB Cream Daily Moisturiser. This way you can hydrate, correct skin imperfection, and protect your skin from the sun’s damaging rays all at once. The Q10 in the moisturiser also helps minimise the appearance of wrinkles!

Then at the end of the day you can you NIVEA’s 3 in 1 Micellar Water to remove make up, cleanse and moisturise your skin in one simple step.

2. MULTITASK

Spend less time on your daily routine by combining steps and multitasking. For example, you can apply a face mask or face wash before you brush your teeth or hop into the shower, then rinse off when you’re done. You’ll get more of the skincare benefits by letting the product sit on your skin for a few extra minutes without adding time to your beauty routine!

Quick tip: use a comb to detangle hair while in the shower.

3. STICK TO THE BASICS

If you’re in a rush, focus on the three E’s – eyebrows, eyeliner, eyelashes. After moisturising (see number 1), brush and fill in eyebrows if necessary, line your upper lashes and apply mascara through the lashes for definition. Dab some concealer under your eyes if they look a bit dark. Add some lip balm to finish and you’re ready to go out that door.

4. GO FOR THE TOUSLED LOOK

Forget the hair curler or the flat iron. Use texturising spray on damp hair before twisting your hair into a bun. It’ll work its magic while you’re getting ready. Once your hair is dry, simply release and run your fingers loosely through your hair. Voila – wavy, beautiful locks.

5. CLEAR THE CLUTTER

Move any products you don’t use daily out of the way and organise your go-to’s so they’re at the front. Try lining them up in the order of your routine: cleanser, toner serum, moisturiser, and sunscreen. For your makeup, consider investing in a magnetic make up palette and fill it with your favourite powder, bronzer, blush and eye shadows.

6. MAKE THE MOST OUT OF YOUR SHOWER

A quick morning shower can help wake you up and give your appearance a quick boost. Instead of waiting for your skin to absorb your moisturiser, try NIVEA In-Shower Smooth Body Lotion Skin Conditioner. A more convenient way to moisturise, it is activated by water and immediately absorbs into the skin. Gone are the days you need to wait around. Slip your clothes on straight away and carry on with your day!

7. PREPARE THOSE LOCKS

If you have the time to wash your hair, prep it for a quick blow dry by blotting and drying it with a towel. Not only do you spend less time blow-drying, you also minimise your hair’s exposure to heat, avoiding heat damage and split-ends.

8. DRY SHAMPOO, OR A HAT

Skip the morning shower entirely. Use dry shampoo to remove the greasy look. Fresh out of dry shampoo? Try a stylish hat or beanie that will match your ensemble. A new look that wastes no time!
