Freshness Tips!

Keep Up The Right Kind of Fluids
Drinking eight glasses of water a day is an excellent start to keeping your body fresh throughout the day. Water contains no kilojoules, is readily available, sugarless and non-acidic. What more could you want! If the answer is sports drinks, fruit juices or soft drinks just try to keep them to a minimum as most contain sugar and acids which can damage the tooth enamel. Alcoholic and caffeinated drinks also contain diuretics and can have a negative effect on your hydration status. Again, moderation is key.

Splish Splash
Current restrictions don’t mean you have to give up the joys of water entirely. Showers may be shorter and baths more infrequent but make the most of it and use your time effectively. And don’t forget the free stuff either. Australia is blessed with glorious beaches and waterways for social activities that are still great to use in the cooler Winter days. So take advantage and get out there and be active.

Smile!
A positive attitude is contagious so make sure you spread it around. People gravitate towards others who have a fresh attitude towards life. Laughter is a great stress reliever. Endeavour to introduce more of it into your day and enjoy the rewards.

Your Foundation For Confidence
It is vital to not only feel fresh but also have the confidence of smelling fresh all day, regardless of whatever the day throws at you. A subtly fragranced and reliable body wash and deodorant is the foundation of your daily routine. Products such as NIVEA Energy Fresh are gentle on your skin and designed to take care of the specific needs of the delicate underarm area.

Cleanse the skin
Fresh, healthy skin positively glows at any time of the day. Fortunately it doesn’t need to be a laboured regime so even the most time-poor of us can achieve spectacular results with minimum fuss.

Detox, You Know You Need To
During Winter it is more important than ever that we maintain balance between indulging on winter warmers and physical rejuvenation. On your off-days eliminate your intakes of meat, fatty foods, caffeine and alcohol, instead treating yourself to fresh fruit and vegetables, cleansing soups, home-made spa treatments and an early night to bed.

Plan Your Day
The more prepared you are for the day ahead the less likely it is to catch you by surprise. Whether it is getting an earlier start to beat peak hour travel, knowing the daily temperature to dress appropriately or seamlessly moving from work/study into social activities without the hassle of going home, a little forward planning will keep you the right temperature, and fresher, throughout the day.

Embrace The Curve Balls
Life would be pretty dull without the thrill of change or the unexpected. A chance meeting, being caught in a sun shower or a spontaneous weekend with great mates all have the potential to make an experience even more special when you embrace the possibilities.

Sense Check Your Work/Life Balance
Sometimes the answer isn’t to work harder but to work smarter. Take time to review your work-study/life balance and make sure you are allowing time for activities you enjoy and that aren’t associated with the 9-5 day. A fresh approach to the structure of your week can have far reaching benefits to your overall lifestyle.

Clear the Clutter
Living alone or sharing with others? Regardless, the clutter still builds up and impacts the environment we live in. Celebrate the start of every season and set aside a weekend to clear out all that clutters your home. Give old clothes to charity, list saleable items on-line, open the windows and give the place a really good scrub. Not only will your home look fresh but you will feel great too.
